The old Reference 3.5 (I have a pair) They 3.5 inch form factor makes this a Moot point and have a sound that is IMO, better then the Kappa line of the 3.5 of their time (2004-2009?) where oddly enough, while being weak in the bass, were FANTASTIC and CLEAR AS A BELL -- if crossed over at ~ 250 Hz (or well within its peak OPTIMAL operating band) ; could spar it up with speakers in the higher. I'd be a little sketched out by the Infinity Ref 10001A being 1/3 the new price for a refurb unit unless it has a great warranty.
